Pre-Lodgement Meeting
Council provides a Pre-lodgement meeting for those persons intending to submit a development application. The service enables you to meet with relevant council officers to discuss your proposal prior to lodging your application. The meetings are generally held on-site.
The purpose of these meetings is to assist you in the preparation of a full and detailed development application. Council recommends you use its Masterplan Enquirer service to first research and obtain preliminary application requirements and planning controls for your proposal.
The Pre Lodgement advice provided by Council will be based on the information provided by the applicant and information from Council's Masterplan system. The advice is in the form of a report, to assist the applicant in preparing the Development Application by identifying the relevant statutory requirements to be addressed and highlights potential issues that may arise during the assessment process of the Application.
While there is no guarantee regarding the outcome of your development application, a pre-lodgement meeting is beneficial as council officers can provide early comments on your proposal and applications are lodged with all relevant documentation and specialised reports.

After receiving your formal request, a Council officer will contact you to arrange a time.
- Once the date is set payment is required prior to the meeting. Council accepts cash, cheque & credit card payments, please note a 1% service fee on credit card transactions applies. Please note credit card transactions can only be made over the counter at a Customer Service Centre.
- Please bring along all supporting material and drawings to the Prelodgement Meeting.
