Development Control Plans
Development Control Plans (DCPs) set the standards, controls and regulations that apply when carring out development or building work within Pittwater. They support Pittwater Local Environmental Plan (PLEP) 1993, which regulates the uses that are permissible on the land.
Pittwater 21 DCP
Pittwater 21 DCP was first adopted by Council on the 8th December 2003 and came into force on the 1st February 2004. The DCP has since been amended six times.
Pittwater 21 DCP Amendment 6 (In force from 12 October 2009)
Council at its meeting on 21 September 2009 resolved to adopt Amendment 6 to Pittwater 21 DCP. The amendment came into force on 12 October 2009. Applications received from 12 October 2009 will be assessed under Amendment 6.

State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008
State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 (the Codes SEPP) specifies exempt and complying development under that Policy. The Codes SEPP has state-wide application and commences on 27 February 2009. A copy of the Codes SEPP is available at: www.planning.nsw.gov.au/housingcode
DCP 22 Exempt and Complying Development
Changes to the State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 (the Codes SEPP) on 25 November 2011 altered the application of Councils DCP 22 Exempt and Complying policy. It now only applies when either:

The development is identified as Complying Development in the DCP 22; or
-
The development is identified as Exempt Development in the DCP 22 and not specified in the Codes SEPP.
Note. Clause 2 only applies for the following Exempt Development: "Moorings", "Public entertainment", "Public meetings" and "Wharves, jetties, pontoons, and boat launching ramps or slipways". .
