Warriewood Valley - What's Happening

Development in Warriewood Valley is progressing well - we encourage Pittwater residents to come and see for yourselves the great public facilities, parks, playgrounds, cycleways/walkways, creekline restoration and water quality improvements - created or under construction for our community, with much more, including a district park, planned for the future!

New Infrastructure (Funded by Developer Contributions)

  • Traffic Facilities - Roundabouts, bridges, pedestrian refuges, thresholds, traffic calming, signalised intersections, bus bays & bus shelters.
  • Three Neighbourhood Parks have been created with a further 2 expected to be provided as development proceeds.
  • Cycleways will link playgrounds and sporting grounds to residential and industrial sectors, schools and shops.
  • The boardwalk through Warriewood Wetlands and along Mullet Creek to the Waterfall via Irrawong Road.
  • The creeks throughout the Warriewood Valley are undergoing a major transformation with the progressive restoration of creekline corridors.
  • The Warriewood Wetlands boardwalk is part of a network of walking tracks being developed. These tracks will enable people to experience and learn about Pittwater's natural diverse vegetation of coastal dunes, wetlands, swamp forest, eucalypt and angophora forest and headland.
  • Upgrade of Mona Vale Library (building works completed).
  • A community facility is to be provided.
  • Bushfire Trails along the edge of the escarpment to protect property within the land release.
  • A total of 12,000 trees will eventually be planted in the Valley
