ArtZpace
ArtZpace is a project outlined in Pittwater’s Cultural Plan to provide designated usage of Avalon Recreation Centre, for allocated periods of the year, for the purpose of cultural activities by local artists.
The aim of ArtZpace is twofold:
- to increase access to space for local artists to exhibit, and
- to increase the opportunities for residents to experience art and culture within Pittwater.
The inaugural ArtZpace 2008 consisted of four professional artists and twelve emerging and young artists. Many people walked through the doors of Avalon Recreation Centre over the seven days to view the artwork. The show provided emerging, young and professional artists with the opportunity to display and sell their artwork in a professional setting. The show was attended by a very wide variety of age groups due to the combination of emerging and professional artists.
Pittwater Community Arts Inc.

A community forum held by Pittwater Council in September 2003 considered issues impacting on arts and culture in Pittwater and the concept of forming a community based organisation.A working party was established and work undertaken to progress the formation of a community based arts organisation.
