Children's Services
There are a range of childcare services in Pittwater Council to meet the needs of children of different ages and families with different care needs. Some services are operated by Pittwater Council however most services are provided by other community based providers and private providers. You can find a PDF brochure listing these services at the bottom of this page under the heading "Document Links".
Pittwater Council operates the following services:
Northern Beaches Family Day Care (FDC)
Family Day Care is a home-based childcare service where care takes place in the homes of registered carers. Carers are supported and monitored by qualified early childhood staff. Children aged 6 weeks to 12 years can use FDC. Care is flexible and can be used for short or long hours of care on any day of the week.
Warriewood Long Day Care (LDC)
Warriewood Long Day Care service is located at Warriewood Shopping Centre. It is licensed to provide child care for 25 children per day aged from 2 years to 6 years. The service is open form 7.45am to 5.45pm.
Warriewood Occasional Care (OCC)
Warriewood Ocasional Care also located at Warriewood Shopping Centre. This service is for casual or occasional care and can take a maximum of 14 children. It is available for children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years. The service is open from 9 am to 3.30 pm only.
Narrabeen Vacation Care
Narrabeen Vacation Care operates during school holidays. Care is available for primary school aged children from 7.30am to 6pm. Bookings are essential.
Elanora Heights After School Care (ASC)
After School Care operates each day the school is open. Care is available for primary school aged children from the end of the school day until 6 pm. There are places for up to 60 children per day.
