The Pittwater Council community profile is designed to inform community groups, Council, investors, business, students and the general public. To achieve this, the profile is formatted to present the data in simple, clear tables and charts with concise factual commentary.

The community profile includes results from the 2011, 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991 Censuses of Population and Housing.

The most recent population data is the 2011 Census which states Pittwater LGAs population (Basic Community Profile - Usual Residence) is 57, 155.

Pittwater Economic Profile

Pittwater Council area economic profile draws on a variety of economic data sources to profile the characteristics of the local economy, how it compares to other areas and how it is changing.  It enables users to accurately describe the economy, explore linkages across the economy and promote the region.

Shoroc Economic Profile

The Economic Profile provides regional economic data for the council areas of Warringah, Pittwater, Manly and Mosman. Based on key ABS information, the profile enables business and the public to research key economic statistics for the region. The profile also uses an input-output model to depict the inter-industry relationships in the regional economy and show the relative economic value of different industry types.  You may also like to visit our Business web pages for further information on doing business locally.


Community Atlas

Based on data from the 2001 Census of Population and Housing (Australian Bureau of Statistics), each map is prepared using Census Collector Districts providing the finest level of detail to help identify spatial patterns and trends in the Council.
