Councillors
Pittwater Council is divided into three Wards being North, Central and South with three Councillors governing each ward.
The role of Councillors is to make decisions about the running of the community and the Council. Councillors listen to the issues and ideas of individual residents and community groups and make strategic and policy decisions. The Mayor leads Council meetings and represents Council on formal occasions.

South Ward Councillors

Julie was born at Mona Vale Hospital and has spent most of her life in the Pittwater area. She has a background operating a local business and has two daughters who attend school and other activities within the area. She brings local experience and enthusiasm to Council with her interests in small business, youth and community services, She also holds a State Executive position on the Local Government and Shires Association.
Julie is a member of the following organisations;
- Executive member of the Local Government and Shires Association
- Member Sydney Water Corporate Customer Council
- Member Maritime Grants Committee
- Judge on Mutlicultural Health Communications Awards

David spent his working life as a marine engineer most recently working on international ship delivery. He has lived in the Pittwater/Narrabeen area since he was a child and has a strong commitment to protecting its environmental assets. He wants Pittwater to retain its distinctive characteristics, and Council to have long-term planning policies that recognise the full implications of major infrastructure problems. He's proud of Council's award-winning service delivery standards and will work to make them even better.
David is a member of the following Committees:
- Board Member of the Narrabeen Lagoon Restoration Project
- President of the Australian Institute of Marine and Power Engineers (Sydney)

Central Ward Councillors

Bob is a retired builder who owned his own building contracting business for 48 years and has won several Master Builders Excellence in housing awards. Bob was a former Pittwater Councillor from 1995 to 1999 and 1999 to 2004. Bob is a member of Mona Vale SLSC.

Patricia is proud of being part of the fight for secession and of being elected onto the first Pittwater Council in 1992. She has never changed her goal to conserve, protect and enhance the natural and built environment for current and future generations. Patricia has lead the fight to retain and upgrade Mona Vale Hospital from 1997.
The saving of the Warriewood/Ingleside Escarpment and the Greenhouse Park at Winnererremy Bay has proved her point. Patricia firmly believes that Councillors must reflect the views of the majority of our residents, and be prepared to make the tough decisions.
On Australia Day 2006 Patricia was awarded the Order of Australia Medal. "For service to local government and to the community of Pittwater."
Patricia believes that our Council area is a superb example of Council and the community achieving great things for Pittwater by working as a team.

Ian White is a former student at Pittwater High School. He is currently a primary school teacher who has taught at both Avalon Primary and Newport Public Schools for nearly 20 years. He currently works at Newport Public School. Ian has been an active member of the Warringah Pittwater Rural Fire Service since 1996.
Ian's aim, is to ensure that our community is a sustainable and vibrant place to live and work for generations to come.
North Ward Councillors

Bob is a practising Barrister who was actively involved in Whale Beach Surf Life Saving Club for 30 years, and who has been a member of Palm Beach Golf Club for over 20 years. Bob wants to ensure that our children enjoy the wonderful lifestyle in Pittwater that we enjoy today, and believes Council must always remain vigilant by continually refining its policies to protect Pittwater from unsuitable development and activities which adversely affect our quality of life.

Peter is a lifelong Pittwater resident, surfer, sailor, reader and writer. Peter is a loving and proud father of Harry and Bronte. Peter is a proud ambassador - and determined protector - of the Pittwater environment and everyone of us fortunate to live within it.

Harvey was born in Brookvale in 1944. He attended Manly Boys Selective High School and University of Sydney (BA Med hons. Dip Ed). Harvey taught in Manly and Warringah Schools for 39 years. (27 years as Head of English Department at Killarney Heights High School). Harvey and his wife Wilga have lived in Avalon since 1971. His four children grew up in the area and attended local schools and played sport for local teams. Harvey has been heavily involved in community activity for many years. Harvey received the Pittwater Citizen of the Year Award for "outstanding service to the Pittwater Community" in 2005.
At the time of standing for Council, Harvey is the Chair of the Pittwater Residents Against Inappropriate Development (PRAID), Chair of the Save Mona Vale Hospital Committee, Community representative on Community and Clinicians Reference Group Northern Sydney Central Coast Health and Executive Member of Friends of Currawong.
