Probation - All new appointments are subject to a three month probationary period with reviews at 6 weeks and 3 months
Transfers of benefits to/from other Councils - It is possible to transfer benefits, such as Superannuation, Sick Leave and Long Service Leave between Councils.
Superannuation - Council meets the Employer funded contribution up to 9% of your salary depending on the Superannuation scheme.
Union - If you wish to join the union relevant to your occupation, Union fees may be deducted from your pay.
Social Club - Pittwater Council Social Club organises numerous events during the year.
Annual Holidays - 20 days per annum for full time staff and a pro rata amount for part time staff.
Sick Leave - 15 days per annum (accumulative) for full time staff and a pro rata amount for part time staff.
Smoke free environment - Pittwater Council is a smoke free environment
Payment of salary - Your salary is paid weekly into a nominated bank or credit union account.
Occupational Health and Safety - Pittwater Council is committed to a safe and healthy work environment.
Hours of work - Thirty-five (35) hour week for indoor staff and thirty-eight (38) hour week for field staff.
Unsolicited applications - If we do not have advertisied positions and you submit an application, your details will be held on Council's confidential files for three months. Should a suitable position be advertised in this period and you contact Council, these details will be brought forward.
