Can I lodge my submission electronically? 

  • Council uses tenderlink.com as its e-tendering portal. Electronic tender submissions may only be lodged via tenderlink.com/pittwater

Can I lodge my submission via email ? 

  • Council does not accept submissions via email. Receipt of requests for quotation may be received via email.  Refer to the quotation documentation for allowable methods of response.

Can I lobby Councillors and Staff ?

  • No.  It is not permitted and may result in disqualification from the tender or quotation process.

Can I submit my tender or quotation by fax?

  • No, for reasons of probity, Council does not accept faxed submissions. 

Where is the tender box for all tenders or quotations?

  • The Council tender box is located at the Mona Vale Customer Service Centre, Village Park, 1 Park Street Mona Vale.  The box is accessible to the public between the hours of 8am to 5.30pm Mon - Thurs and 8am to 5pm Fri.

Do I have to answer all the questions in the document?

  • The questions in the tender or quotation document are carefully designed to ensure the very best provider is selected for each Council project.  If your tender or quotation is accepted, the information forms part of the contract.  Failure to answer all mandatory fields can result in your tender or quotation being marked as non-conforming.

What is a conforming tender or quotation?

  • A conforming tender or quotation is one that meets the conditions outlined in the request for tender or quotation document.

What is a non-conforming tender or quotation ?

  • A tender or quotation is non-conforming when there is an absence of any requirement clearly detailed in the conditions of tender or quotation.

What is best value ?

  • Council will base procurement decisions on a principal of "value for money" rather than "lowest cost"

Is there an opportunity to negotiate the tender or quotation if I am awarded the contract ?

  • There is no opportunity to negotiate the contract after the tender or quotation has been accepted.  If you wish to offer substitute terms they must be submitted in full as part of your tender or quotation submission.
