To add information, images or events to the biodiversity calendar


Explanation of requested information

Events:

List your environmental/sustainability and volunteer events in your area. Please provide event contact details and web links if available.

Plants:

Details can include flowering, germinating and seeding.
Examples: January – crimson bottlebrush flowering, yellow rush lilies flowering, seed pods on silver wattle open & dandelions flower; June – first nodding greenhoods and helmet orchids flower; July – golden wattle & prickly moses in flower.

Animals:

Details can include breeding, offspring, migration, hibernation, feeding, seasonal food sources.
Examples: January – tadpoles in ponds, dragonflies mating, , echidnas seeking ant nests, ghost fungus on stumps, blue swimmer crabs in surf, bluebottles washing up; March – young bandicoots out of the pouch, leaf curling spiders in gardens; June –, echidnas to be seen searching for mates, seals and dolphins come into inlets.

Birds:

Details can include breeding, offspring, migration, nesting, feeding, seasonal food sources
Examples: - January, ducklings walk to safety; March, many birds now moulting feathers; June, gannets diving offshore, lapwings laying eggs

Weather Patterns:

Details may include fire, storms, wind & rain.

Weeds:

Details of weeds blooming in the relevant month. Provide contact details if possible for more information.

Details of location:

Details can include the name of creek, park, street, wetland or beach.
