Bicentennial Coastal Walkway

In 2008, the Bicentennial Coastal Walkway, marked it's 20th anniversary. This walkway runs from Queenscliff to Barrenjoey over a distance of approx. 25kms. The Bicentennial Coastal Walk is a series of headland pathways and lookouts connecting the ends of each beach to form a continuous coastline route which stretches along Sydney's northern coastline between Manly and Palm Beach. The following Bicentennial Coastal Walkway headlands are in the Pittwater area.

The Bicentennial Coastal Walkway was constructed by the then Warringah Council incorporating Bicentennial Grant Funding, a scheme similar to "Work for the Dole" and Council Staff.

The project was aimed at linking informal degraded tracks across the headlands to provide the public with safe access to take in the magnificent views as well as the distinctive flora and fauna of this section of coast.

The complete maps of the walkway can be downloaded from Sydney Coastal Councils.
