Remnant Bushland on Private Property
Your remnant bushland is priceless!
The retention of remnant bushland on private properties is essential in enabling the survival of many native animals. This happens not only at the backyard level, but also as part of wildlife corridors which run through suburbia creating links between larger bushland reserves.
All bushland is protected by law
In addition, the bushland on your property may be part of an endangered ecological community, such as Pittwater Spotted Gum Forest, and may contain threatened flora species or be habitat for threatened fauna. In this case, bushland is protected by the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995.
