Backyard Bushcare
If your property adjoins a bushland reserves you may be interested in becoming a Backyard Bushcarer. The retention of backyard bushland plays an essential role in conserving native wildlife, not only at the backyard level, but also as part of wildlife corridors which run through suburbia creating links between larger bushland reserves.
As part of this program you can, with support and guidance of Council, create a boundary with the reserve that is in harmony with the adjoining bushland by removing invasive weeds and encouraging natural regeneration or planting local native plants suitable to the site.
