Headland Rock Fall and Cliff Failure
Headland rock falls and cliff failures present a particular risk around Pittwater's many coastal cliffs. Cliffs are worn away by erosion from wind, water and tree roots. Rock overhangs form which may break and fall without warning.
Rock falls imperil people who may be walking below and cliff failures cause destruction to buildings on top of them.
