Aim
To recognise and reward businesses that minimise their environmental footprint and commit to making Pittwater more sustainable through innovative measures involving staff, resources or new business practices.
Criteria Questions
- In what ways has your business minimised its environmental footprint?
(For example: reduced waste, reduced energy consumption, reduced water consumption, encouraged staff/ customers to use public transport or car pool, purchase of sustainable energy, sustainable procurement, reduced toxic chemicals or pollution) - What innovative sustainable practices, technologies or standards have you developed or utilised in your business?
- What has your business achieved in terms of sustainability – provide detail about both the environmental and business benefits and how are they being measured?
- Have you had any financial assistance to help you reduce your environmental footprint, such as grants, rebates or sponsorship?
