Cicada Glen Creek

Cicada Glen Creek begins near Mona Vale Road then flows through Ingleside and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park before terminating at McCarrs Creek. The site begins as a six metre wide pool lined with boulders and rocks then becomes narrow and shallow. Much of the site is shaded by large trees. The top part of this sub-catchment is partially developed, mainly consisting of rural residential properties, including horse paddocks, a fish farm and a palm farm. Many of these properties have been cleared of all native vegetation and the excavation of soil is a common practice. There are a number of illegal weirs and dams built on the creek. Human impact on this creek is evidenced by bricks and litter in the water and on the sides of the creek.
