Sydney Water SewerFix Program
Sydney Water is currently conducting investigations of its sewer network in Pittwater, known as the SewerFix program. This involves using CCTV cameras to identify problems in the sewer system such as blockages caused by tree roots.
In the case of tree roots entering the sewer lines from a private property, the property-owner concerned will be notified by Sydney Water and given advice on how to manage the problem. This may involve recommending the services of a licensed plumber as well as advice on plant selection and landscaping.
