Aurealis Award

The annual Aurealis Award recognises the achievements of Australian science fiction, fantasy and horror writers.

Commonwealth Writers' Prize

The Commonwealth Writers' Prize aims to recognise the best fiction by both established and new writers from Commonwealth countries and ensure these works reach a wider audience outside their countries of origin.

Costa Book Awards

The Costa Book Awards are among the United Kingdom's most prestigious literary awards. However, they are also open to writers from the Republic of Ireland. They were known as the Whitbread Book Awards until 2006, when Costa Coffee, a subsidiary of Whitbread, took over sponsorship.

International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 

The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award  is the largest prize worldwide for a single work of fiction published in English. Nominations are submitted by public libraries worldwide.

Man Booker Prize 

Also known in short as the Booker Prize, the Man Booker Prize is a literary prize awarded each year for the best original full-length novel, written in the English language, by a citizen of either the Commonwealth of Nations or the Republic of Ireland.

Miles Franklin Literary Award

This award celebrates Australian character and creativity and nurtures the continuing life of literature about Australia. The Miles Franklin Literary Award is awarded for the novel of the year which is of the highest literary merit and presents Australian life in any of its phases.

Nobel Prize in Literature 

The Nobel Prize in Literature is awarded annually (since 1901) to an author from any country who has, in the words from the will of Alfred Nobel, produced "the most outstanding work of an idealistic tendency".

NSW Premier's Literary Awards

The NSW Premier's Literary Award for fiction is named in honour of Christina Stead, the acclaimed Australian novelist and short-story writer.

Orange Prize

The Orange Prize is awarded annually to a female author of any nationality for the best original full-length novel written in English, and published in the United Kingdom in the preceding year.

Prime Minister's Literary Award for Fiction 

The Prime Minister's Literary Award for Fiction  is an initiative celebrating the contribution of Australian literature to the nation's cultural and intellectual life.

Pulitzer Prize for Fiction

The Pulitzer Prize for Fiction is awarded annually for distinguished fiction by an American author, preferably dealing with American lifean American award regarded as the highest national honor in print journalism, literary achievements, and musical composition. It is administered by Columbia University in New York City.
