Parking

Pay and Display Parking

Pittwater has 16 designated Pay and Display parking areas located at all ocean beaches and some foreshore reserves.

Parking in Pittwater

There are numerous parking areas in Pittwater and in particular some commercial centres.

Special parking conditions apply within the Church Point Parking Precinct. This area applies to Church Point Reserve and along McCarrs Creek Road

There are three Park & Ride Facilities to assist with commuter parking in Pittwater.

Parking Permits

Council issues each rateable property with two parking permits with their rates notice every financial year. They are valid from 1st September until 31st August of each year. These permits need to be affixed to the inside of the windscreen, on the bottom left - hand side. 

NOTE - These permits are NOT VALID AT ROWLAND RESERVE where you are required to purchase a special permit. Alternatively you can pay the pay parking machines (must be displayed on the dashboard of your car)

NOTE - These permits are NOT VALID AT THE CHURCH POINT RESERVE CARPARK or the CHURCH POINT PRECINCT from 1 September 2010 - you are required to purchase a special permit. Alternatively you can pay the pay parking machines (must be displayed on the dashboard of your car)

On-Street Parking

All On-Street Parking within Pittwater must be in accordance with the Australian Road Rules and parking signage.  Pittwater Council does not operate a system of residential or business parking permits within the on-street (public road) network. Parking Offences

One of the most consistent complaint areas in Pittwater is that of illegal and inappropriate parking. Therefore, it is advisable that all drivers refresh their knowledge of the road rules and seek the appropriate information, which can be obtained at your nearest Motor Registry Office or visit the RTA website.
