Parking Permits
Parking permits are valid from 1st September until 31st August of each year. These permits need to be affixed to the bottom left hand side of the windscreen.
Council issues two parking permits to each rateable property with their rates notices every financial year. Each resident can also purchase up to an additional three permits at the resident permit price. If you have purchased a property after July, parking permits can be obtained from Customer Service free of charge providing Council is satisfied you own the property (you will need to provide copies of legal documentation - due to the six week process at Land Titles Office) and your rates have been paid along with completing a statutory declaration and provision of vehicle registration numbers.
Special Permits
Pittwater Council Parking Permits are NOT VALID AT ROWLAND RESERVE OR AT THE CHURCH POINT PRECINCT.
You are required to purchase a special permit (see below). Alternatively you can pay the pay parking machines (must be displayed on the dashboard of your car)
Rowland Reserve
Permits are available for parking at Rowland Reserve.
Church Point
Parking Permits are available for parking at the Church Point Precinct.
Local Businesses
Local business can purchase parking permits for their staff if they are predominantly in a pay and display parking area. Local Businesses can also purchase up to 5 parking permits at a discounted rate. Business Parking Permits are NOT issued for the Mona Vale CBD.
How do I obtain a parking permit?
Visit a Council Customer Service Centre at 1 Park Street, Mona Vale or 59A Old Barrenjoey Road, Avalon.

These permits can be used in all Council pay and display carparking areas except for Rowland Reserve boat launching area and the Church Point Precinct where a seperate permit is required and short stay pay & display at Governor Phillip Park and Palm Beach shops 1 hour parking, which payment is available through pay and display machine.
