Road Closures
Council allows temporary - full or partial - road closure for community events or approved construction.
- An Application for Traffic Control Permit (UI316) is to be completed for all events/filming/construction on local roads and submitted to the Traffic Section of Council.
- For applications involving temporary road or single lane closures, the Traffic Section will advise whether a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) is required for submission to the Traffic Committee. If a TMP is required, it must be submitted to Council at least four weeks prior to the next Traffic Committee meeting.
- If event/filming/construction is on RTA Main Roads (Pittwater, Barrenjoey, Mona Vale, McCarrs Creek Road, Wakehurst Parkway) the organisation must contact the RTA Film & Location co-ordinator on (02) 8396 1517 or email tmc_filming@rta.nsw.gov.au, at least 4 months prior to a major event and forward TMP to Council at least 4 weeks prior to its next Traffic Committee meeting.
