Reporting of Stormwater Drainage Concerns

Council's public stormwater drainage network includes pits, pipelines, channels, gross pollutant traps, swales, bio-retention swales, bio-retention basins and detention basins, of which the various components capture, detain, treat and transport stormwater that flows from private and public lands to the creek systems, wetlands, the Pittwater Estuary, Narrabeen Lagoon or the eastern coastline.

From time to time, Council's stormwater drainage system may develop problems ie. become blocked due to debris, drainage pit lids being dislodged or unauthorised connections etc and may cause, for instance, a public nuisance or operational problems.

Should this occur, Council would encourage contact with Council's Customer Service to report the issue.

Information you are requested to provide is:

  • Stormwater issue (blocked drain, blocked pit, broken pipe, drainage pit lid dislodged, local flooding etc.)
  • Location - street name, house number closest to site of incident
