Currawong

Historic Currawong is a tranquil retreat accessible only by water nestled on the edge of Sydney's spectacular Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.

The 19 hectare bushland and beachfront hideaway is located at the northern end of Pittwater. There are no roads into Currawong, which makes it a peaceful and safe place for families with young children. Access is by ferry from the northern beaches suburb of Palm Beach, 40kms from the city centre.

Currawong's serenity and exclusive location provides time out for couples, families and larger groups in a naturally beautiful setting. Get back to nature, see the stars again and enjoy a blissful holiday where memories are made and savoured.

You can explore magnificent bush trails leading adventurers to some of the best Indigenous rock art in the region. Or idle away time on 300 metres of sheltered sandy beach, ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

A freshwater creek meanders through the property, providing a home for many varieties of bird life. Fish from the wharf or from nearby rocks, work on your golf swing on Currawong's six-hole golf course or enjoy an energetic game of tennis with friends and family.

Stepping out of your own private hideaway it’s likely you will be greeted by friendly goannas and wallabies welcoming you as guests to Currawong!

Midholme

Midholme is the original homestead (dating from 1916). It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and can accommodate up to 15 people. It has a large kitchen and dining room as well as a lounge with an open stone fireplace.

Verandas on all sides add to the recreation space, along with a landscaped entertaining area with fire pit and barbeque.

Cottages

Currawong has nine cottages, all built in the early 1950s. Each cottage backs onto a bush garden and can accommodate four adults or a family of five or six. The cottages are comfortably basic with self-contained well-equipped kitchens.

The cottages have one bedroom with a double bed and a living area which contains a double sofa bed and single bed. There are also rollaways available on request. All cottages are supplied with pillows, blankets and doonas.

Conference Centre

Nestled in a secluded position with filtered views of Pittwater and abundant sunlight, the Currawong Conference Centre is a unique facility with basic equipment for that special corporate planning day for up to 25 delegates.
