Location & Description
Maralinga Reserve is partly a bushland reserve (40%) and partly a developed park (60%). It is 0.94 ha in size and is located between Maralinga and Koorangi Avenues, Elanora Heights.
Walking Tracks & Access
There are no formal walking tracks. The 20 x 50m open grassed field provides for active recreational use as does the grassed informal play area.
Plants
The Reserve supports a Hawkesbury Sandstone Open-Forest and is dominated by Eucalyptus haemastoma and E. piperita.
Animals
Although most of the understorey vegetation has been cleared at Maralinga Park, some natural vegetation along the creekline provides habitat for small reptiles and frogs which could breed in the creek.
