Skateboard Parks

Skateboarding and BMX riding are popular recreational sports for young people.  Providing these types of facilities for young people can minimise their boredom, increase their fitness and help reduce obesity. Providing Skate facilities also encourages skaters off roads, footpaths and pedestrian malls, where they present a danger to themselves and the general public.  With this in mind Pittwater Council have constructed two first class skating facilities for the enjoyment of all.

  • Mona Vale - located at the southern end of Kitchener Park. Facilities include a bowl and half pipe
  • Avalon - located on Avalon Beach Reserve north of the car parking area. Facilities include a skateboard bowl.

Booking an Event

Booking an event at a skating facility requires an Application Form to be completed and forwarded to Councils Reserves & Recreation Officer for approval.  Fees and charges apply to all bookings. For further information regarding bookings contact Council's Reserves & Recreation Officer on 9970 1355 or email nikki_griffith@pittwater.nsw.gov.au
