Regional Parks

Pittwater Council's Recreation Needs Study differentiated between the various categories of parks and identified the need for Council to provide large regional parks in strategic locations in Pittwater.

Regional parks cater for much larger groups of people and provide a more diverse range of recreational opportunities for visitors.  Over the past few years, Council has invested heavily in the development of large regional parks at Winnererremy Bay and Apex Park at Mona Vale and more recently in the newly constructed Bilarong Reserve. Governor Phillip Park at Palm Beach will be further upgraded in the coming years.
